​Mel Rubin, a native New Yorker, is a photographer and collagist. He received a Bachelor’s degree from New York University and studied photography at the School of Visual Arts. As an agent, Mel worked with internationally known commercial photographers for over a decade.

 

After relocating to Los Angeles, Mel exhibited his work at the Art Rental and Sales Gallery of The Los Angeles County Museum of Art, Gallery 825, the Jonathan Art Foundation Auction, and the City of Buena Park. For his works in collage, Mel was awarded the Adolph & Clara Obrig Prize and the Samuel F.B. Morse Medal from the National Academy Museum & School of Fine Arts.
